Cultivated from a perennial shrub that stands about 3 feet tall, native to South Africa and cultivated through a steam distillation process to extract the essential oil. The flower’s essential oil is made from the flower, its stems, and its leaves.

The main chemical constituents of geranium oil include the following: Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Citronellyl formate, Citral, Myrtenol, Terpineol, Methone and Sabinene
